One of my favorite movies is “The Apostle” starring Robert Duvall and one of the songs in the movie is simple yet very moving and stirs the soul. The song and the lyrics which you wrote about is easily found if you Googled and it’s author is Dorothy Norwood who was a prolific gospel writer. I, too, really like ths song – easy to learn the lyrics and can be a very upbeat song. It was featured in a documentary about former mayor Marion Barry and his fall from grace. The song was in the last 15 minutes of the film and boy, it made you want to stand up and just clap, stomp and sing along with the music!
