Lost Soul – a Poem

One of the great things about using WordPress as my blog host is the Blog Surfer and Tag Surfer options.  You can subscribe to other WordPress blogs or you can browse through WordPress blogs that use the same “tags” or topics you like to read about.  I browse through my blog surfer and tag surfer at least once a day and have come across some awesome blogs and some interesting posts.  While tag surfing today, I came across a post with a wonderful poem.  The author, Cathy gave me permission to post her poem here.  I pray that it will touch your spirit as it did mine and encourage each of us to share Jesus with everyone we meet, even when it seems like they aren’t listening.  Thanks Cathy for allowing me to share this with my readers.  Take care and God bless you all,

Lost Soul – A Poem

I wanted only good for you,

Of this you can be sure.

I shared God’s word, so you’d be saved,

My motive, it was pure.

* * *

Upset with me, because I told,

Of heaven, and a hell.

These are the words that Jesus said,

So this is what I tell.

* * *

There is a pain, deep in my heart,

It’s there most every day.

I’ve pled for years, I’m speechless now,

There’s nothing left to say.

* * *

An enemy, I have become,

Because of truth proclaimed.

Good news for all, the Gospel call,

I will not be ashamed.

* * *

Comfort and peace, salvation’s joy,

Could all be yours to keep.

But still you choose, to have blind eyes,

The Lord you will not seek.

* * *

Eternity, without the Lord,

Why is it you don’t fear?

Years, precious few, do swiftly pass,

As day of death draws near.

* * *

The Gospel call, it separates,

Both here, and when we die.

We leave behind, those dearly loved,

And to the Lord draw nigh.

* * *

I wanted only good for you,

There’s still no other goal.

Because the Lord has filled my heart,

With love for your lost soul.

* * *

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

John 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

John 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

John 3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

John 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Lord I Need You In My Life

I may have posted this on my blog sometime in the past year, but I felt like I needed to post it again.  Several years ago I was on my way to work, and I was crying out to God for help because things were just too  much for me to handle on my own.  As I was driving, I was listening to a praise and worship CD and I felt the Lord tell me to turn off the music and just tell Him what I was feeling and focus on Him.  Here is what came from this time with God.

Lord, I need You In My Life

A Song Unto The Lord by Briggitte Cruz

Inspired by God

Lord give me strength, I’m feeling weak.

Lord put the words into my mouth that I must speak.

My mind is troubled, from all the things I’ve seen.

Lord let Your love wash over me.

Lord let me drink, from the waters that send forth refreshing life. Lord heal the wounds that I have hidden and have forced down deep inside. Lord I want to be, Your humble servant, but from Your will I’ve tried to hide. Lord I need you in my life.

Lord send me comfort, I feel alone.

I’m hanging on here by a thread, Lord hear my groans.

My heart is broken, from all the things I’ve seen.

Lord let Your love wash over me.

Lord let me drink, from the waters that send forth refreshing life. Lord give me strength to accept what I’m given, and a joy down deep inside. Lord I long to be Your humble servant, and Your will I can’t deny. Lord I need you in my life.

Lord show me mercy, I’m on my knees.

Lord, I’m not perfect, my flesh is weak.

My spirit’s broken from all the things I’ve seen.

Lord let Your love wash over me.

Lord let me drink, from the waters that send forth refreshing life.

Lord let your light shine down upon me; send your power and your might. Lord I’ll always be Your humble servant and Your will shall now be mine. Lord I need you in my life.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, Lord I want you in my life.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, Thank You Lord, for my life.

A Prayer For Healing

I was just about to shut down my computer and turn in for the evening when I felt the Holy Spirit tell me to put a prayer for healing on my sight.  I’m not sure who this is for, I just know that I need to have ears to hear and a heart to obey.  Take care, God bless and remember there is power in prayer, through Yeshua Ha’Mashiach.

Heavenly Father, Master of the Universe, I come before you and ask for healing.  The law of the Spirit of life in Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.  I am alive unto righteousness and therefore I will not allow sin, sickness, illness, disease or death to lord it over me.  You have told me that whatsoever I bind on earth is bound in heaven, so today I stand on Your Word and promises and bind every germ, disease, illness and sickness and the devil and declare healing and health in my body and my life.  I am redeemed from the curse and my heart beats with the rhythm of life.  Your Word flows through my veins, cleansing my blood from every impurity.  I declare that every organ, muscle, cell, tissue and fiber of my being works in the perfection that You created and that which You have not planted is dissolved and removed from my body in Jesus’ name.  Jesus bore my sins in His body on the cross.  He bore my sickness and pain so I give no place to sickness or pain because You Lord have sent Your Word and healed me.  Jesus, Your are Lord of my life.  You have given me abundant life and I receive that life through Your Word.  The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, dwells in me sending life throughout my body.  In the mighty name of Jesus, I forbid my body to be deceived in any manner and reject and rebuke the enemy and it’s hold over me.  I thank you Lord for loving me, for the sacrifice and price You paid for me, for the blood You shed for me and for never leaving me.  Because of you Lord, I am an overcomer and I will fulfill the days of my life on this earth in health through Your grace and mercy, in Jesus name, Amen!

I use booklets by Charles Capps to aid me in my prayer and I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to strengthen their prayer life.
