A Message From Joel Osteen

So, I’m sitting here going through my email and come across today’s inspiration message from Joel Osteen.  I know that this message was meant for me and what I a going through right now in my job search.  My heart is crying, but my head keeps reminding me that God is in control, He has something for me, His desire is to bless me and in His time it will all come to pass.

Without Wavering

Today’s Scripture

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23 NKJ).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

God knew there would be times when we would be tempted to waver in our confession of hope. Maybe you are believing for something and you’re starting to think, “Is this really for me? Will this really ever happen?” If that’s you today, remember, He who promised is faithful! And His faithfulness doesn’t depend on your ability to figure it all out. His faithfulness doesn’t depend on the plans we can make or the scenarios we can come up with; He’s faithfulness depends on His Word which never changes! Declare His Word and hold on to your confession of hope today. Be confident that God can make a way when there seems to be no way. Even when your mind may waver, don’t allow your confession to waver. Declare that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Declare that He Who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. Remember, there is power in your words and power when your words are in agreement with His Word. As you hold on to your confession of hope, you’ll see His faithfulness, and you’ll move forward into victory in every area of your life.

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. I choose to guard my confession, and I will declare hope in Your Word. I trust that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf and thank You for victory in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

( I am always more than happy to pray for anyone that reaches out to me via email, or leaving a comment on my site, and you can also click HERE to ask Joel Osteen and his prayer team pray for your needs as well.)

Pastor Bike and Anna

Pastor Bike standing with Anna, an orphaned Christian girl also persecuted by the Chinese government.

Pastor Bike, as he is affectionately known, is considered to be one of the most outspoken evangelists in China. He is a bold believer willing to cross borders, hand out Christian literature and Bibles, share Christ with those under age 18 and lead thousands to Christ. All these actions are considered “illegal” in communist China.

On August 6, just two days before the Olympics began, Pastor Zhang “Bike” Mingxuan was arrested, along with his wife and a coworker.

In response to these arrests, The Voice of the Martyrs and China Aid Association have launched a petition drive to free these three Christians and to let the Chinese government know that the world is aware that these Christians are being detained.

Together, our voice can make a difference. Please follow the link below to learn more, and please forward this email to your friends.

Why We Love Children

I received this via email from my dear sister in Christ Betty who thought it would brighten my day, and make me smile.  Well it did all that and more so I’m sharing it with you, enjoy.

1) NUDITY   I was driving with my three young children one warm summer
evening when a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my
5-year-old shout from the back seat, ‘Mom, that lady isn’t wearing a
seat belt!’

2) OPINIONS    On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his
teacher a note from his mother. The note read, ‘The opinions expressed
by this child are not necessarily those of his parents.’

3) KETCHUP    A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the
jar. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old
daughter to answer the phone. ‘Mommy can’t come to the phone to talk to you right now. She’s hitting the bottle.’

4) MORE NUDITY     A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself
in the women’s locker room.  When he was spotted, the room burst into
shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover. The little
boy watched in amazement and then asked, ‘What’s the matter, haven’t
you ever seen a little boy before?’

5) POLICE # 1   While taking a routine vandalism report at an
elementary school, I was interrupted by a little girl about 6 years
old. Looking up and down at my uniform, she asked, ‘Are you a cop?
Yes,’ I answered and continued writing the report. My mother said if I
ever needed help I should ask the police. Is that right?’ ‘Yes, that’s
right,’ I told her. ‘Well, then,’ she said as she extended her foot
toward me, ‘would you please tie my shoe?’

6) POLICE # 2    It was the end of the day when I parked my police van
in front of the station. As I gathered my equipment, my K-9 partner,
Jake, was barking, and I saw a little boy staring in at me. ‘Is that a
dog you got back there?’ he asked. ‘It sure is,’ I replied puzzled.
The boy looked at me and then towards the back of the van. Finally he
said, ‘What’d he do?’

7) ELDERLY     While working for an organization that delivers lunches
to elderly shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter on my
afternoon rounds. She was unfailingly intrigued by the various
appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs.
One day I found her staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a
glass. As I braced myself for the inevitable barrage of questions, she
merely turned and whispered, ‘The tooth fairy will never believe this!’

8) DEATH    While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church,
our minister heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar
wilt. Apparently, his 5-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead
robin. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had secured
a small box and cotton batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the
disposal of the deceased. The minister’s son was chosen to say the
appropriate prayers and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of
what he thought his father always said: ‘Glory be unto the Faaather,
and unto the Sonnn, and into the hole he goooes.’ (I want this line
used at my funeral!)

9) SCHOOL   A little girl had just finished her first week of school.
‘I’m just wasting my time,’ she said to her mother. ‘I can’t read, I
can’t write, and they won’t let me talk!’

10) BIBLE    A little boy opened the big family Bible. He was
fascinated as he fingered through the old pages. Suddenly, something
fell out of the Bible. He picked up the object and looked at it. What
he saw was an old leaf that had been pressed in between the pages.
‘Mama, look what I found,’ the boy called out. ‘What have you got
there, dear?’  With astonishment in the young boy’s voice, he answered,
‘I think it’s Adam’s underwear!’

Prayer Request for Kiarah

Dear prayer partners, my friend Rita from Florida has asked us to put Kiarah Bowley on our prayer lists.

Kiarah is a sweet little 8 year old living here in New Jersey.  She is in need of surgery to remove one of her kidneys due to cancer.  As my dear friend Doris said to me in her email today, it is hard enough for an adult to undergo this kind of surgery, let alone a small child.  Her grandmother, who lives in Florida and is friends with Rita is flying up so she can be with her family during their time of need.

I can only imagine what Kiarah and her family must be feeling right now, so I pray that the peace that only God can bring fall upon them all right now, in the mighty name of Jesus, Yeshua Ha’ Mashiach.

Father God, Master and Creator of the Universe, please look upon your daughter Kiarah and her family.  Send Your angels of mercy and peace to stand guard over Kiarah and those who will be caring for her.  I pray that if it be Your will, that she be healed and not need surgery, and if You want to heal her through surgery, let Your hands guide those of the surgeons as they operate on her.  In the name of Jesus, we bind every germ, disease, cancer and illness that is invading her body.  Your blood flows through her bringing life, restoration and healing to each cell and organ and tissue in her being.  I pray for a quick and painless recovery for her and ask that You send The Holy Spirit to minister and bring comfort to Kiarah and her family.  Precious Jesus, hold her in Your loving arms and shelter her.  I ask all these things in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
