Hello Bobi and thanks for your comment. I totally agree with you, the marital status or lack thereof, has nothing to do with His crucifixion and resurrection. I still believe in His divinity and know that He is God! I don’t base my faith on religion or doctrine. I base it on His Word and His love for me. I posed the question to see what others were thinking and I appreciate your sharing your thoughts with me. May God bless you and use you to spread His message of love and hope.

I don’t see how the marital status or lack of it has anything to do with the crucifiction and ressurection of Jesus which as far as I know is the basis of Christianity. If there is a lineage from Jesus I can understand the need to protect those people; but it doesn’t change the divinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Let’s not confuse what matter’s with what doesn’t. As you stated scripture “Be still and know that I am God” He will clarify all we need to know.

Hi Daniel, I emailed you, but to clarify, NO I do not believe in The DaVinci Code. What I do believe is that Dan Brown did an excellent job writing a very compelling and exciting piece of literature by blending just enough facts with fiction. I enjoyed it along with his other books and look forward to his next novel. It is sad that there are people out there who do not take his work in the proper context even when he states that he is writing a book of fiction – granted he does imply that there are more facts than there truly are, but he bases his information on other authors that claim their work is based on fact when it is in fact – NOT.

I know this is not my usual type of post, but I wanted to do more than just forward this in an email. Please take a moment to read, and then copy into an email and forward to as many people as you can – and don’t forget to send it to your local and state government officials. We must unite against these forms of injustice especially in this time of economic distress. When milk is over $4 a gallon, gas is nearly $3 a gallon and minimum wage is less than $6 an hour how do our politicians expect us to make ends meet. By the time they take out taxes, you have to work 2 hours just to pay for that gallon of milk and gas. No wonder so many Americans are on public assistance, in credit card debt up to their eyeballs, supporting both their parents and their children who were either forced to move back home or weren’t able to leave, and taking anti-depressants. If it weren’t for Jesus, I know I would not be able to get through each day. PRAY PRAY PRAY!!! Well, here goes – and as usual, I welcome your comments and feedback. God Bless and take care.

2008 Election Issue!!

GET A BILL STARTED TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOC. SEC.

This must be an issue in “2008″ Please! Keep it going.

SOCIAL SECURITY: Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years. Our Senators and Congress-persons do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it. You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan. In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan. For all practical purposes their plan works like this: When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die. However an Increase could result time to time for cost of living adjustments. (cost of living adjustments? were’nt they outlawed some time back – LOL)

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that’s Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000.00 during the last years of their lives. This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries. Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives. Their cost for this excellent plan is

$0.00. NADA..! ZILCH…

This little perk they voted for themselves is PAID FOR BY You and I. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from The General Funds or Our Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer). We can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement. We would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator Bill Bradley’s benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made. That change would be to:

Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us then sit back and see how fast they would fix it.

If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe good changes will evolve. How many people CAN you send this to? Better yet…… How many people WILL you send this to ?

You know, this plan would also work on health insurance, auto insurance, and much more. The possibilities are limitless.

I want to talk about chain emails –

Remember when people would send chain letters through the mail? Some of them were pretty cool, but others were scams and some were scary weird. My friends and I used to send them to each other during the summer to help stay in touch or pass the time. (it was better than having to write to a “pen pal” from a foreign country that your teacher picked out for you to write to over the summer) Hey, what did I know, I was just a kid! Adults on the other hand did not like the chain letters and one thing led to another and poof, it’s like against the law to send a chain letter.

Now that we live in the modern age of technology, people use email to send chain letters. Don’t get me wrong, some of them are really good. Most of the time they are spiritual in nature, or “you know you’re from Jersey when…”, or my favorite kind – “how do you know you are blonde?” I myself have passed along chain emails because they are very inspiring or funny, but I do have a complaint.

Why is it at the end of these emails they say something like, “if you love Jesus, pass this on to 10 people then sit back and wait for a miracle.” Or the ones that say, “You MUST pass this on to at least 5 people within the hour of receiving this rose. After you do, make a wish. If you have passed it on, your wish will come true and love will come your way shortly. If not your life will stay the same as it has always been.” I was all warm and fuzzy from the beautiful sentiments in the poem and the WHAM!!! I get hit with this mess.

It makes me so upset to know that in the name of Jesus, people send out emails and then stick these kinds of messages at the bottom to make you feel guilty if you don’t send it along. I have decided that while I may forward along the email, I delete this type of noise at the end. I don’t need anyone making me feel like I am not a good person if I choose not to send it on. And folks, just for the record, email is a great form of staying in touch but it should never take the place of a phone call, or visit to those we care about.
