THE FIVE FINGER PRAYER

This is so neat. I just got this from my Mom today and I had never heard this before. This is beautiful – and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a “sweet duty.”

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God’s guidance.

4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes our little finger – the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, “The least shall be the greatest among you. ” Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.

I Prayed For You Today

I prayed for you today, and asked the Lord that you be blessed,
To grant you peace within your heart, and give your mind a needed rest.I prayed for you today, and asked the Lord to give you health,

A PRAYER FOR HEALING

Lord,You invited all who are burdened to come to You. Allow Your healing hand to heal me.

Touch my soul with Your compassion for others. Touch my heart with Your courage and

infinite love for all. Touch my mind with Your wisdom that my mouth may always

proclaim Your praise. Teach me to reach out to You in my need. Help me to lead

others to You by my example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body

and spirit so that I may serve You with all my strength. Touch gently this

life which You have created. In Jesus name, Amen

The Sinners Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to You in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is Your Son, and that He died on the cross at Calvary for my sake that I might be forgiven and have eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead, and I ask you right now to come into my life, and into my heart and be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent of my sins and will worship You all the days of my life. Because Your word is truth, I confess with my mouth that I am born again, and cleansed by the blood of Jesus! In Jesus name, Amen.

Then, use the guide below to follow the “Roman Road” to salvation. The next step is to find a church where you can go to worship and be fed the word of God. Surround yourself with people who can help you in your daily walk and ask questions of. Did you know that God and His angels celebrate when his children that were lost come home? Well they do! Praise God for His mercy.

 

The Roman Road to Salvation

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the grace of God.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.”

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 10:9-13 “That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved! For it is with the heart that you believe, and are justified, and it is with your mouth, that you confess you are saved. As the scripture says, anyone who trusts in Him, will never be put to shame. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile, the same Lord is Lord of all, and richly blesses all who call on Him, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord, will be saved!

Revelation 3:20 “Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but shall have eternal life.”

The Lords Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,

And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,

A Prayer for Healing

Great Physician, we ask for the healing of the body, mind and spirit. Reveal any hindrances to this healing and give us courage to trust your Divine generosity and friendship. We give you thanks for hearing our prayer. Amen (A Pilgrims Prayer)

A Prayer for Finances

Father You have promised that You would withhold no good thing from those who walk uprightly before You. Your Son came that we might have life to the full, till it overflows. I know that lack is not Your will for my life. Where I have not honoured You, forgive me. Where I have not put You first place in my life, forgive me. I know that You are not a hard taskmaster. You’ve promised that if I would sow, I would reap. I know that You will not be mocked in that truth. Therefore I choose to sow, and sow again and again, knowing that You abide faithful. You are my provider, my El Shaddai, and I know that You are leading me into pleasant places that I might be a blessing to many. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
