I received an email about an amazing woman named Irena Sendler (see below) from my friend Doris. I wanted to know more about Irena, so I decided to do some web searching to look into the story further. I came across a blog that has a wonderful post about Irena so click HERE to read about Irena and her amazing courage. In a world where so many of us focus on our problems and woes, this woman gave no thought to self. In my humble opinion, Irena truly did what Jesus commanded us to do, love others and look after His flock. May God bless you
About a year ago, there was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.
She had an ‘ulterior motive’ …. She KNEW what the Nazi’s plans were for the Jews, (being German.) Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids.)
She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises. During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.
She was caught, and the Nazi ‘ s broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most of course had been gassed. Those kids she helped were placed into foster family homes or adopted.
Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize … She was not selected. Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.

One reason I love the weekend is because I get to catch up on the things I recorded on the DVR and any email I got during the week, not to mention I can sleep in!! Well, it’s Friday and I’m catching up on email and once again, Joel Osteen’s message hits home for me and of course I’m going to share what he has to say. This is a message I’m sure you’ve heard before, but it bares repeating, especially when you commit to pray for someone. You must pray over yourself before you pray for someone else and putting on the armor of God is a very important part of prayer. Take a moment to read his message. “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places“ (Ephesians 6:11-12, NLT)
God has equipped us to stand and fight every battle we will face in life. The Bible tells us in Ephesians chapter 6 that we are to put on the whole armor of God—everything that He has equipped us with. The armor tells a lot about how we are to fight our battles. If you study the armor of God, you’ll find that it only mentions things that cover the front of us. It talks about wearing the breastplate of righteousness which covers our chest, our heart. It talks about having our loins girt about with truth; it tells us to put on the helmet of salvation, and to protect our steps with the shoes of peace. Then it mentions the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit.
But notice, interestingly enough, not one piece of that armor covers our back. Why is that? It’s because God never intended for us to be running from the enemy. If you’re running from adversity, then you’re leaving yourself wide open to the enemy. But if you’ll put on the whole armor of God and stand on His Word, you’ll move forward into the victory God has already prepared for you!
Father in heaven, thank You for equipping me to overcome every challenge and obstacle I will ever face in life. I choose to put on the whole armor so that I can stand in victory the way You intend. I bless You always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Due to the nature of her disappearance the child is considered to be in extreme danger. Neviaeh Amyah Buchanan a 5 year old white female, 3′8″, 45 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Hello and God bless you. Back in September 2008 I was asked to post a prayer request about a married couple who were starting a church. Well, God is truly blessing their ministry and has provided their church with just about everything they needed from furniture to members. Their church is growing and they have so many different cultures and religious affiliations represented. They have some people from Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico.
Their friend Jess has asked us to lift the pastors up before the Lord as their home has just gone into foreclosure. This is nothing more than the enemy trying to put an end to the good work they are doing for God and to the spreading of His Word.
Please pray that God’s will be done, whether it is for them to keep their home, have their debts dissolved, or to be blessed with another home for less money. God’s Word said that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, I bind the enemy over their finances. I break the hold the enemy has over their home and loose the finances and resources of heaven and break the bonds of debt. By the authority of Your Word Lord, I bind every force that comes against their financial prosperity and declare all curses set against them NULL and VOID. In the mighty name of Jesus, they are redeemed from the curse of poverty and free from oppression. Hello prayer warriors. I have been asked by Cindy to lift her son Craig up to the Lord in prayer.
He has been ill and the doctors are unable to give a diagnosis as to what is causing him to be sick. Cindy tells me that his stomach is affected but also asks that we pray for healing in his back as well.
Charles Capps says that, “God’s Word is PERFECT SPIRITUAL LAW (Ps. 19:7). It is SUPERNATURAL MEDICINE.” I know that there is power in God’s Word and that when we speak these Words, we take them from the spiritual realm and give power to them in the physical realm.
Lord God, Master and Creator of the Universe, we come to you and lift Craig up before you. Lord, the doctors say his illness is a mystery, but we know that this is no mystery for You. The doctors told Craig not to come back to them because there is nothing they can do for him, but we know You can do all things.
Father, we know that if it is Your will, you can touch him and heal him miraculously, so in the name of Jesus we ask You to touch him and release him from sickness in his stomach and his back. We also know that You use doctors to heal, so if it is Your will, reveal to the doctors the cause for his sickness and use the doctors to bring about his healing. God, Your Word says that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven, so we bind the enemy and darkness over Craig’s illness. Your Word also said whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven, so we loose the power of light to reveal the cause of Craig’s sickness and loose healing in his body.
Jesus, You bore our sins upon Your back on the cross to make us free from the sins of death, so we are alive unto God. By Your stripes, Craig is healed and made whole. God, Your Word brings life and healing and by Your Word, Craig is healed. Jesus, You bore our illnesses so in Your name, we refuse to allow sickness to dominate Craig’s body. Your blood brings life which flows through Craig bringing healing to every fiber of his being. Body, we speak the Word of Faith to you and demand that every cell, artery, tissue, organ, bones and marrow perform a perfect work, for you are a temple of the Holy Ghost. We charge you body in the perfect name of Jesus Christ and by the authority of His holy name and Word to be healed and made whole.
Lord, I pray for Your perfect peace to surround Craig and his family and ask that you place Your angels around them in Jesus mighty and precious name, amen.
I just received wonderful news from Doris that I can’t wait to share with you, and I want to thank each and everyone of you that visit this site, and pray for those listed. I ask a special blessing from God for each of you that He bless you and keep you in His constant care.
Back in April I posted a prayer request for Marge. Praise God her husband has shared that she was given a clean bill of health from her doctor! Of course we all know that the ultimate Doctor – Jehovah Rophe already knew what the outcome would be! Her biopsy showed no cancer, praise God. He is so awesome! Doris and her family want to say thank you and God bless you, for all your prayers and well wishes.
Shout praises to God, Master of the Universe over all that is seen and unseen and give Him thanks and praise for all He does for us.

Well, things have been so hectic here the past few months, more specifically that past 4-5 weeks. My husband has been very ill, and now is on the road to recovery (I haven’t posted a prayer request but please lift him up to God and ask for continued miraculous healing in his left ankle), all praises to God and thanks to those of you who have lifted us up in prayer. Our finances have taken yet another downward spiral, my son’s job cut back his hours, my daughter was laid off, my son’s car is dead, my car needed costly repairs, my husband has been out of work for over 2 months due to a series of illnesses and hospitalizations, I lost several weeks from work while caring for my husband and just went back today to be given a warning that my job is jeopardy as I have no more paid time off (I didn’t qualify for FMLA because I wasn’t employed there for a year yet) and my next call out will result in another warning and possible loss of my job, not to mention lots of other day to day problems. Why am I going on like this??? Well, it’s to say that the enemy is working overtime in my life right now and he is stealing my joy! I am focusing on what is wrong and not on God! I am giving in to the defeat and not proclaiming my victory and as I have always said before, I visit my email inbox and there is a message from Joel Osteen Ministries and the message is right on time so you know I have to share it with you too! Have you ever been laying in bed in the morning and out of nowhere you’re reminded of all the mistakes you made yesterday and all the problems you have in your future? That’s the enemy trying to set your mind for a negative, defeated, lousy day, but you don’t have to fall into that trap.
The Scripture says, “Set your mind and keep it set on the higher things.” This tells us that we have to be proactive. We have to stay on the offensive. When you get up in the morning, have the attitude that David did in the Psalms and say, “This is another day the Lord has made! No matter how I feel, no matter what the economy looks like, no matter what the medical report says, I am choosing to rejoice. I am choosing to be happy this day.” You know what you’re really saying? You’re saying, “I’m not going to let other people steal my joy today. I’m not going to let disappointments and setbacks discourage me. I’m not going to focus on my problems and my mistakes. I’m making up my mind to embrace everything the Lord has in store for me!”
Father in heaven, I choose to set my day by setting my mind on things above. I choose to shake off the cares of yesterday and focus on everything You have in store for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don’t take “no” for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.

They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

We all face difficulties and challenges in life. But you have to remember, as a believer in Jesus, you have the life-giving seed of Almighty God on the inside of you. When you go through disappointments or tough times, you may feel like you’ve been buried. You may feel like you’re in a dark, lonely place. You may feel like it’s the end, but in reality, it’s only the beginning. The fact is, you haven’t been buried; you have been planted. That means you’re coming back. And not only are you coming back, but you’re coming back in increase, better and stronger than before.
In those tough times, you’ve got to draw the line in the sand. Make a declaration, “This difficulty is not going to bury me. This loss, this disappointment, this injustice is not going to cause me to give up on my dreams. I refuse to live in self-pity. I know I am a seed. That means I cannot be buried. I can only be planted. I may be down, but it’s only temporary. I know I’m not only coming back, I’m coming back even better than I was before!”
Father in heaven, thank You for filling me with Your life-giving seed. I choose today to focus on the potential for my future. I know that I will overcome every obstacle by Your power that is at work in me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Did you know that the way you handle your adversities has a huge impact on your success in life? If you shrink back, choose to get bitter, and lose your enthusiasm, then you are allowing the difficulties of life to bury you. You are allowing hardship to keep you from your God-given destiny. But if you choose to keep pressing forward with a smile on your face, rejoicing even in the hard times, you are allowing God’s character to be developed inside of you. You are setting yourself up for promotion.
Did you know that the only difference between a piece of black coal and a priceless diamond is the amount of pressure that it’s endured? When you stand strong in the midst of the trials and difficulties in life, when you allow God to shape and mold your character, it’s like going from a piece of coal to a priceless diamond. Those difficulties are going to give way to new growth, new potential, new talent, new friendships, new opportunities, new vision. You’re going to see God develop your life in ways that you’ve never even dreamed!
