Put On The Full Armor Of God

One reason I love the weekend is because I get to catch up on the things I recorded on the DVR and any email I got during the week, not to mention I can sleep in!!  Well, it’s Friday and I’m catching up on email and once again, Joel Osteen’s message hits home for me and of course I’m going to share what he has to say.  This is a message I’m sure you’ve heard before, but it bares repeating, especially when you commit to pray for someone.  You must pray over yourself before you pray for someone else and putting on the armor of God is a very important part of prayer.  Take a moment to read his message.  Take care and God bless you in Jesus’ mighty name.  – Briggie ^i^

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places(Ephesians 6:11-12, NLT)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

God has equipped us to stand and fight every battle we will face in life. The Bible tells us in Ephesians chapter 6 that we are to put on the whole armor of God—everything that He has equipped us with. The armor tells a lot about how we are to fight our battles. If you study the armor of God, you’ll find that it only mentions things that cover the front of us. It talks about wearing the breastplate of righteousness which covers our chest, our heart. It talks about having our loins girt about with truth; it tells us to put on the helmet of salvation, and to protect our steps with the shoes of peace. Then it mentions the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit.

But notice, interestingly enough, not one piece of that armor covers our back. Why is that? It’s because God never intended for us to be running from the enemy. If you’re running from adversity, then you’re leaving yourself wide open to the enemy. But if you’ll put on the whole armor of God and stand on His Word, you’ll move forward into the victory God has already prepared for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for equipping me to overcome every challenge and obstacle I will ever face in life. I choose to put on the whole armor so that I can stand in victory the way You intend. I bless You always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Set Your Day

Well, things have been so hectic here the past few months, more specifically that past 4-5 weeks.  My husband has been very ill, and now is on the road to recovery (I haven’t posted a prayer request but please lift him up to God and ask for continued miraculous healing in his left ankle), all praises to God and thanks to those of you who have lifted us up in prayer.  Our finances have taken yet another downward spiral, my son’s job cut back his hours, my daughter was laid off, my son’s car is dead, my car needed costly repairs, my husband has been out of work for over 2 months due to a series of illnesses and hospitalizations, I lost several weeks from work while caring for my husband and just went back today to be given a warning that my job is jeopardy as I have no more paid time off (I didn’t qualify for FMLA because I wasn’t employed there for a year yet) and my next call out will result in another warning and possible loss of my job, not to mention lots of other day to day problems.  Why am I going on like this??? Well, it’s to say that the enemy is working overtime in my life right now and he is stealing my joy!  I am focusing on what is wrong and not on God!  I am giving in to the defeat and not proclaiming my victory and as I have always said before, I visit my email inbox and there is a message from Joel Osteen Ministries and the message is right on time so you know I have to share it with you too!  God bless you all, Briggie ^i^

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth”
(Colossians 3:2, AMP)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Have you ever been laying in bed in the morning and out of nowhere you’re reminded of all the mistakes you made yesterday and all the problems you have in your future? That’s the enemy trying to set your mind for a negative, defeated, lousy day, but you don’t have to fall into that trap.

The Scripture says, “Set your mind and keep it set on the higher things.” This tells us that we have to be proactive. We have to stay on the offensive. When you get up in the morning, have the attitude that David did in the Psalms and say, “This is another day the Lord has made! No matter how I feel, no matter what the economy looks like, no matter what the medical report says, I am choosing to rejoice. I am choosing to be happy this day.” You know what you’re really saying? You’re saying, “I’m not going to let other people steal my joy today. I’m not going to let disappointments and setbacks discourage me. I’m not going to focus on my problems and my mistakes. I’m making up my mind to embrace everything the Lord has in store for me!”

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, I choose to set my day by setting my mind on things above. I choose to shake off the cares of yesterday and focus on everything You have in store for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Rejoice In The difficult Times

If you don’t already subscribe to the daily messages from Joel Osteen I strongly urge you to do so.  It never ceases to amaze me how God uses Joel to send me messages of encouragement or correction exactly when I need to hear it.   I know I haven’t requested prayer, but right now my family is going through a very difficult time and just when you think I my plate is full and I am  at my limit, something else gets piled on the plate.  I won’t say that God is testing me, but I will say that I am being pushed to my physical, emotional, financial and spiritual limits.  I know God is in control and without Him I can do nothing.  I look forward to the person I will be when I come out on the other side of the valley.  You can click here to sign up for the daily message from Joel Osteen as well as see streaming video or podcasts.  Take care and know that God is in control, so surrender all to Him and He will see you through. – Briggie ^i^

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation”
(Romans 5:3-4, NLT).

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Did you know that the way you handle your adversities has a huge impact on your success in life? If you shrink back, choose to get bitter, and lose your enthusiasm, then you are allowing the difficulties of life to bury you. You are allowing hardship to keep you from your God-given destiny. But if you choose to keep pressing forward with a smile on your face, rejoicing even in the hard times, you are allowing God’s character to be developed inside of you. You are setting yourself up for promotion.

Did you know that the only difference between a piece of black coal and a priceless diamond is the amount of pressure that it’s endured? When you stand strong in the midst of the trials and difficulties in life, when you allow God to shape and mold your character, it’s like going from a piece of coal to a priceless diamond. Those difficulties are going to give way to new growth, new potential, new talent, new friendships, new opportunities, new vision. You’re going to see God develop your life in ways that you’ve never even dreamed!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for giving me strength to overcome every obstacle in life. I choose to rejoice no matter what may come against me because I know You are working all things together for my good. Thank You for developing Your character in me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.”
(Exodus 14:14, AMP)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

In life, we’re always going to have critics. We’ll always have difficult people who try to upset us and steal our peace and joy. But, you don’t have to respond to every critic. You can decide to take the high road and let God fight your battles for you.
Sometimes, no matter what you say or do, there are people who aren’t going to accept you. They just don’t want to be at peace with you. In fact, when Jesus sent out His disciples to certain homes, He told them to always speak peace over those homes. And then He said in effect, “If they don’t receive the peace that you’re offering, then it will come back to you.” That tells me, if you will do your best to be at peace with people, even if they won’t take your peace, the good news is that peace will just come back to you. You’ll not only get your peace, but you’ll get their share as well! That’s double for your trouble! When you do the right thing no matter what is happening, God sees it and He rewards it.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, I choose to hold my peace. I choose to do the right thing even when the wrong thing is happening. I trust that You are fighting my battles for me. I give You all the honor and praise. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

There’s nothing too hard for him – A Message From Joel Osteen

Well, it’s Friday and I’m sitting here, trying to decompress from a really stressful day / week of work and I’m reading my email.  As I go through and delete all the junk mail, and respond to messages from friends and family, I save my Joel Osteen messages for last.  The message below is what came today and all I can say is, thank you Lord for using Joel Osteen as a messenger for Your word.  God is in control and I know that there is NOTHING too big, too small or too hard for Him.  He works all things for our good and while it may seem it is more than we can stand, as long as we stand with Him, He will help us, give us strength, comfort and guidance to be victorious.  Have a wonderfully blessed weekend and may God keep you in His care. – Briggie ^i^

There’s Nothing too Hard for Him

Today’s Scripture

“Is any thing too hard for the LORD?…” (Genesis 18:14, KJV).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

In Genesis, God promised Sarah that she was going to have a child. At first she didn’t believe it. She thought she was too old. She thought her time had passed. But do you know what God said to her? He simply asked, “Sarah, is there anything too hard for the Lord?” I believe God is saying the same thing to us today. “Is there anything too hard for Me?”

Do you think your dreams are too big for God to bring to pass? Do you think that a relationship is too far gone for God to restore it? Do you think you have to just live with sickness the rest of your life? Get a new vision today because there is nothing too hard for God! God is saying today, “I am all-powerful. I can turn any situation around.” It doesn’t matter what things look like in the natural, we serve a supernatural God. The Amplified version puts it this way, “Is there anything too wonderful for the Lord?” The next time you think, “That’s just too good to be true,” remember, God wants to bless you beyond your wildest dreams. Take the limits off and dare to believe that He has wonderful things in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I choose to trust You with my whole heart. I know there is nothing too hard for You. Help me to stand strong in faith and keep me close to You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Grace and Peace to You

Today’s Scripture

“May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace” (2 Thessalonians 1:2, NLT).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

People all over the world are searching for grace and peace. They are powerful forces in the life of the believer. First of all, we are saved by God’s grace through faith. We don’t deserve it and can’t earn His grace and forgiveness, but He gives it to us anyway. Grace is God’s favor that opens the door to salvation, but it doesn’t stop there. His grace is supernatural favor and empowerment to live the life God has called us to here on earth.
Peace is every bit as powerful. It’s not just a feeling; it’s a state of being. Peace means “to set at one again.” We are settled internally. And nothing externally can move us from our position of peace.
Receive His grace and peace today and declare it over the lives of the people around you. Remember, as you sow words of blessing into the lives of others, you’ll see that increase of harvest in your own life in return!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for Your grace and peace at work in my life. I choose to stand in my position of peace by following your Word and staying in the plan You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Message From Joel Osteen

So, I’m sitting here going through my email and come across today’s inspiration message from Joel Osteen.  I know that this message was meant for me and what I a going through right now in my job search.  My heart is crying, but my head keeps reminding me that God is in control, He has something for me, His desire is to bless me and in His time it will all come to pass.

Without Wavering

Today’s Scripture

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23 NKJ).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

God knew there would be times when we would be tempted to waver in our confession of hope. Maybe you are believing for something and you’re starting to think, “Is this really for me? Will this really ever happen?” If that’s you today, remember, He who promised is faithful! And His faithfulness doesn’t depend on your ability to figure it all out. His faithfulness doesn’t depend on the plans we can make or the scenarios we can come up with; He’s faithfulness depends on His Word which never changes! Declare His Word and hold on to your confession of hope today. Be confident that God can make a way when there seems to be no way. Even when your mind may waver, don’t allow your confession to waver. Declare that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Declare that He Who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. Remember, there is power in your words and power when your words are in agreement with His Word. As you hold on to your confession of hope, you’ll see His faithfulness, and you’ll move forward into victory in every area of your life.

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. I choose to guard my confession, and I will declare hope in Your Word. I trust that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf and thank You for victory in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

( I am always more than happy to pray for anyone that reaches out to me via email, or leaving a comment on my site, and you can also click HERE to ask Joel Osteen and his prayer team pray for your needs as well.)

A Message from Joel Osteen

I am a few days behind in my email messages so today as I was going through my inbox I came across my Joel Osteen inspiration of the day and knew this one had to make it to my blog, and I’ll explain why:

The other day, I was at the automotive store because I needed new wiper blades when a man on a bike said “hello” to me then proceeded to turn around and stop right in front of me.  He began to make idle conversation starting with, “don’t I know you from somewhere”, to which my first reaction was I don’t think so, but given that my memory is pretty bad, I simply said, “perhaps from when I worked here in town”.  He then began to tell me of his day and ended by asking if I could spare $2.00 so he could get the bus back home.

Well, honestly, these days money is tight and $2.00 is a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs, and how could I be sure he wasn’t trying to get a few dollars to head to the liquor store?  I pondered what he was asking for what seemed like minutes, but was really just seconds and something inside me said to offer the money to the man.  I’ve learned that when you feel the Holy Spirit urging you to do something, you just go with it, and besides, it didn’t matter what he needed the money for, my heart was in the right place and I knew God would honor it.

Later that evening, I checked my email and saw that a job I applied for offered me an interview for a job just minutes from my home, office work – so no standing all day, Monday – Friday 830-500 and one weekend a month.  I was so excited because I have submitted my resume and applied for so many jobs without even a whisper for many months now and have just stood in faith that God was in control and He would open the door when He was ready.  (just an fyi – I had the interview today and will know the outcome on Monday, so keep me in prayer!)

Now, I’m not saying that everytime you hand out a few dollars to someone you get instant rewards, and I’m not saying that this interview is a done deal and the job is mine – although I have already told God that if it be His will, I am most ready and willing.  I am saying that God will bless you, for whatsoever you do for the least of His brothers, you do also unto Him. (matt 25:34, 40)

Take care, enjoy the message below and may God bless you,

Briggie ^i^

Fulfilling the Law of Christ

Today’s Scripture

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2 NIV).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

It pleases God when we live in peace and unity; when we love and serve others and put their needs above our own. The bible says we are fulfilling the law of Christ when we carry each other’s burdens, when we pray for them and when we are supportive in their time of need. There are many ways to reach out to people and help carry their burdens. Just by giving an encouraging word or smile, you can help lighten the load for someone. When you pray and intercede for others in their day of difficulty, you are helping carry their burdens. Maybe there are other ways to help the people around you. Maybe you can pay for someone’s groceries, or give someone cash at the gas pump. Anytime you help others and reach out to them, it’s as if you are directly lending a hand to God.

Remember, in God’s kingdom what you sow, you shall reap. When you help others, God promises to repay you. He’ll make sure that people reach out to you in your time of need as well so that you can live in victory and blessing all the days of your life.

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I want to fulfill Your law of love by serving and helping others. Show me how to be a blessing to the people around me so that I can help carry their burdens. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Message From Joel Osteen

Cast Your Cares

Today’s Scripture

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (I Peter 5:7).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

God cares so much about you today. Not only does He love and care about you, He cares about the things that concern you as well. If you have concerns, worry or anxiety about something in your life today; finances, relationships, your job or anything else, know that your Heavenly Father already has a plan to take care of those things for you. It’s a good plan, and He wants to show Himself strong on your behalf. The scripture reminds us that the lilies of the field and the birds of the air are cared for, how much more will your Heavenly Father take care of you? Make the decision today to cast all of your anxiety on Him by choosing to trust that He is going to take care of you. Refuse to dwell on your problems and don’t allow them to steal your peace and joy any longer. Instead, choose to meditate on His Word and confess God’s promises over your life. As you cast your cares on Him, you’ll experience His peace and joy, and you will live the life of blessing He has in store for you.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for caring for me. I choose today to cast my cares on You and trust that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. I bless and magnify You today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Message from Joel Osteen 6/11

In this message Joel Osteen speaks about the forces of darkness that we face here on earth and yesterday I was watching Marilyn Hickey and she spoke about blessings and covering and reading Joel’s message today made me connect the two.  To receive all that God wants to give us, we must focus on Him and to do that we must remain under His covering.  For God to be a blessing to us, we must be a blessing to God.  We must bless Him, our friends, family, loved ones, our enemies, those who curse us and hate us – yes, we must bless those who curse us!  It is through blessing that we receive covering and trust me, you want to remain covered!

She spoke about being weary in your mind and says that God wants to refresh us and renew us.  She said that God uses blessing as our covering and the covering is the blessing.  It is important to speak verbal blessings over our loved ones to cover them.  Emotional stability comes through verbal blessing.  God wants big things for us, He wants to cover us.  But satan wants to uncover us and keep us in darkness because he wants to destroy us.  I believe that satan thinks if he can cut down God’s people, then he can cut down God.  It’s just too bad that in his lust and desire to destroy us, he’s forgotten he’s already been defeated.  That makes the score God – Eternity / satan – zip, nada, zero, zilch, NOTHING!

I jotted down some of the scriptures Marilyn used in her message and tried to summarize what I got out of it.  I also put Joel Osteen’s message below in blue.  I’m sorry if this post is a bit winded – but the messages are just so good! – love to you all and may God richly bless you so that your storehouses overflow so that you may be a blessing to others, and so on and so on…

Love in Christ

Briggie ^i^

Ezekiel 28:14-16 – satan was to bless God.  He was meant to be a covering for God but he became prideful so he broke the covering and was cast out.  he was to speak blessings over God and because he lost his position he was cast out of heaven and into darkness which is where he wants us!

Revelation 12:10 – now that he has become uncovered, he wants to uncover us, he is the accuser and he will tempt us and when we get caught he then says it is our fault not his.  once he uncovers us, sin can enter so we must remain covered by the blood because it doesn’t only cover us, it takes away our sin.

Revelation 3:18 – speaks that Jesus wants us to be covered.

Isaiah 61:10 – just like He clothed Adam and Eve, God covers us.

Revelation 19 – they are shouting praises.  when we speak well of people, we are blessing and covering them.

As It Is in Heaven

Today’s Scripture

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

God longs to give you a glimpse of heaven while you are here on earth. He wants to show you His wonderful plan and bring it to pass in your life. Have you ever thought about how God’s will is accomplished in heaven? In heaven, God’s will is automatic. There are no opposing forces of darkness or anything that would come against His will. On earth, His will is activated in our lives when we first make Jesus our Lord and Savior; and then we must choose to come into agreement with His will on a daily basis through our thoughts, our words and our actions. On earth, we have to stand against the forces of darkness. We have to refuse those negative, self-defeating thoughts. As you open your heart to the Word of God and invite His will to be done in your life, it says in Ephesians 6 that you will be empowered by your union with Him. As you declare what God says about you, you will overcome all opposition, and you will see God’s will in your life as it is in heaven!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I humbly come to You today and invite Your will to be done in my life. I submit every area of my heart to You. Let everything I say and do bring glory to You. In Jesus Name. Amen.

A Message From Joel Osteen

Press Towards the Promise

Today’s Scripture

“Imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:12).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Are you facing a challenge today that seems overwhelming? Through faith and patience, you will see God’s promises come to pass in your life. Understand that the enemy always fights the hardest when he knows you are closest to your breakthrough. He’d leave you alone if he thought you were going to live in mediocrity. If you keep pressing on toward your promise, through faith and patience, you will get there. Don’t be like the Israelites in the Old Testament who were right next to their promised land when they talked themselves out of it. They said, “There are giants in the land. It’s too difficult.” No, don’t look at the obstacles in your life today; lift up your eyes because you serve Almighty God. Follow the example of Abraham who believed God even when his circumstances looked impossible. Remember, God rewards the people who seek after Him. Stand in faith and keep believing because God will take you places that you never dreamed. As you press toward the promise, you will see God’s hand of blessing in your life and live in the victory He has prepared for you.

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I come to You today choosing to believe Your promises. Fill me with Your faith and patience to press through to victory. I give You all the glory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Message On Faith From Joel Osteen

joel osteen

Give Your Faith A Voice

Today’s Scripture

“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak” (2 Corinthians 4:13).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Every believer has been given a measure of faith. In order to see the promises of God come to pass in your life, you have to give your faith a voice. You must declare what God says about you in His Word. Those seeds of faith inside you are activated when you speak them out into the atmosphere. That’s why the scripture tells us, “Let the weak say I am strong. Let the poor say I am rich.” When you give your faith a voice and send forth the Word of God out of your mouth, the Bible says that He watches over His Word to bring it to pass in your life. Don’t dig up your seed by speaking against His Word. Don’t allow words of defeat or negativity to come out of your mouth. Instead, water your seed by continuing to declare the Word of God. When you wake up every morning, thank Him that His promises are coming to pass in your life. As you do, you will see those things come to pass, and you will live the life of victory God has prepared for you.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, I humbly come before You giving You my thoughts, my actions, and my words. Help me to activate my faith by speaking Your Word daily. May my words and thoughts be pleasing to You always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Message From Joel Osteen 5/28

joel osteen

Well, if you have read any of my posts recently, you’ll know that today’s message from Joel Osteen really spoke to what I’m going through right now.  I especially took notice of his use of this scripture because one of the comments on a post spoke about so many walking around today with “sad eyes and crooked crosses”.   I truly feel that right now, I am in a crooked place with things off center but know the power our words hold and the power of God’s Word and His promises, I have been taking it to God and declaring healing in my body, mind and spirit.

He Prepares Your Path

Today’s Scripture

“I will go before you and make the crooked places straight…” (Isaiah 45:2 NKJV)

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Do you ever feel like every time you try to move forward in something, you hit a roadblock? Something happens that throws you off course. Be encouraged today because right now in your life, God is going before you. He’s preparing a way. He’s making your crooked places straight. He’s making your rough places smooth. You may be going through a difficult time right now, but it’s not the end. It’s only the beginning. God has equipped you for this journey. You may feel like you’re in a dry season, but don’t look at your circumstances. Look at the promise of God today! If you’ll keep speaking words of faith, God promises that He’ll anoint your head with oil and your cup will run over. That means you’ll be refreshed and anointed to do what He’s called you to do. God is preparing your path and equipping you for the journey. What do you need today to keep moving forward? Start by checking your attitude. Don’t go around complaining and focused on the negative side of things. Put on an attitude of praise and thanksgiving. Thank Him for making your crooked places straight! As you do, you’ll move forward in joy and gladness in the blessed future He has prepared for you!

A Prayer for Today

Lord in heaven, thank You for Your goodness in my life. Thank You for preparing the path for my life and making my crooked places straight. Thank You for restoring my soul and life and for guiding me in everything I do. I submit every area of my life to You today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

You Have Been Planted

Again, another timely word from Joel Osteen in my email and I wanted to share it with you.  May God bless you and keep you, strengthen and bless you and grant you peace that surpasses all understanding, in the precious name of Jesus, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach.  – Briggie ^i^

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain”
(John 12:24, NKJ)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

We all face difficulties and challenges in life. But you have to remember, as a believer in Jesus, you have the life-giving seed of Almighty God on the inside of you. When you go through disappointments or tough times, you may feel like you’ve been buried. You may feel like you’re in a dark, lonely place. You may feel like it’s the end, but in reality, it’s only the beginning. The fact is, you haven’t been buried; you have been planted. That means you’re coming back. And not only are you coming back, but you’re coming back in increase, better and stronger than before.

In those tough times, you’ve got to draw the line in the sand. Make a declaration, “This difficulty is not going to bury me. This loss, this disappointment, this injustice is not going to cause me to give up on my dreams. I refuse to live in self-pity. I know I am a seed. That means I cannot be buried. I can only be planted. I may be down, but it’s only temporary. I know I’m not only coming back, I’m coming back even better than I was before!”

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father in heaven, thank You for filling me with Your life-giving seed. I choose today to focus on the potential for my future. I know that I will overcome every obstacle by Your power that is at work in me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Overflow of Your Heart – A Message from Joel Osteen

I’m still playing catch-up on my emails and came across this today.  How awesome is this message?  It goes in tandem with what Charles Capps writes about in his books.  Our tongues are powerful yet it only gets it’s power from what is in our hearts.  If we are putting wrong things into our hearts our tongues will not bring forth blessings and fruit.  May God richly bless you and grant you the desires of your heart.

The Overflow of Your Heart

Today’s Scripture

“For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matthew 12:34).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Have you said something recently that you wish you hadn’t? The Bible says that your words reveal what’s going on inside of you. If you go around speaking negative words of defeat, putting others down, and complaining all the time, it’s a sign that you need to refocus your heart and mind. It’s a sign that your “overflow” is polluted. Our bodies work a lot like a computer. What you put on the hard drive of your heart will show up on the monitor of your mouth. The good news is that you can reprogram your mind the same way you can reprogram a computer. The Bible says that our minds are renewed—or reprogrammed—by the Word of God. The more you read and study His Word, the more it will transform you from the inside out. Start today by asking the Lord to reveal anything in your heart that needs changing. Make Him first place in your life. Fill your heart with the good treasure of God’s Word so that blessings come out of your mouth. Let the overflow of your heart be filled with faith and expectancy, and you’ll see God’s hand of blessing in every area of your life.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, I humbly come before You and ask that You cleanse my heart and mind of anything that isn’t pleasing to You. Fill me with Your faith, peace, joy, and love so that I can overflow with Your goodness today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Safety In Numbers – A message From Joel Osteen

Safety in Numbers

Today’s Scripture

“Where no wise guidance is, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Are you facing an important decision today? God wants to give you the answer. He wants to direct your steps. Many times, He will speak to us through the people He has placed in our lives. The Bible says that safety is found in a multitude of advisors. God designed us to live in families, communities, and congregations. We need to be open to receiving input from the people who are close to us. That doesn’t mean you have to follow everything everyone tells you, but if you’re in a particular situation or relationship, and all the people around you are giving you the same word of caution, it might be God trying to get a message to you. Take that advice and bring it before the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to confirm His perfect plan to your heart. Remember, wisdom comes from God, and wise counsel will always be in agreement with God’s Word. He will always confirm the answer when you ask Him. What ever you are facing today, be open to receiving wise counsel. As you do, you will be blessed and protected and walk in confidence down the path the Lord has prepared for you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life as wise counsel. Help me understand Your truth so that I can make Godly choices. Keep me close to You always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

the Way – A message From Joel Osteen

I haven’t posted a message from Joel Osteen in quite some time, and it’s not because I haven’t wanted to, it’s because for some reason, I can’t always see his messages through my email.  Tonight as I was checking my email, I saw a message in my inbox from Joel Osteen and when I opened it I was able to see it and knew I was meant to share it.  I can honestly say that I am completely in agreement that God is there for you through thick and thin and will make a way according to His will and purpose for your life – all we have to do is put Him first, listen and let Him guide us.  He will not make beggars of us, leave us or forsake us – He will be with us always.

The Way

Today’s Scripture

“‘…how can we know the way?’ Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’” (John 14:5-6).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Do you need direction in your life today? Not only is Jesus the way to life in eternity, but Jesus is the way to everything you need in this life here on earth. Do you need to know the way out of debt? Look to the Father through Jesus. Do you need to know the way to having better relationships…the way to overcome an addiction…to live in peace and joy? When you know Jesus, you know the Way. No matter what you are facing today, no matter what challenges or obstacles are in your life, He will make a way for you even when you don’t see how. God loves you so much that He wants to strengthen and empower you to live in total victory. That’s why He sent His Son, Jesus, to this earth—to show you the way to live an abundant life! Open your heart today and receive all that God has given you through Jesus. As you do, you’ll see His hand lead you in the way of victory in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to show me the way. I invite You into every area of my life. Keep me close to You always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

higher thoughts

A message from Joel Osteen

Higher Thoughts

Today’s Scripture

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

God’s dream for your life is so much bigger than your own! He wants to bless you indeed and enlarge your territory. His ways and thoughts are so much higher than ours, and His plan is so much bigger than we can imagine. Choose today to focus on the good things God has in store for you. Don’t allow the circumstances of life to drag your thoughts down. Choose to think God’s thoughts by meditating on His Word. The scripture says to “set your mind on things above.” Those “things above” are God’s thoughts and ways which are, “I am blessed and highly favored. I am above only and not beneath. I am the head and not the tail. I am a victor, not a victim. I am righteous, and my path shines brighter and brighter to the full day. I am more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.” When you allow those higher thoughts to fill your mind, they will direct your steps, and you will rise higher in life! You will see yourself as an overcomer and live the abundant life the Lord has for you.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for thinking good thoughts about me. Help me to focus on Your higher thoughts today. Empower me to obey Your Word so that I can live as an overcomer in every area of life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Joel Osteen – He Delights In Your Prosperity

A message from Joel Osteen Ministries.

Today’s Scripture

Let the Lord be magnified Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant (Psalm 35:27).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Our God is a running-over God! He doesn’t want you to just have barely enough to meet your own needs, God wants you to be so blessed that when other people get around you, it overflows onto them! He wants you to be so blessed in your finances that not only can you pay your bills and accomplish your own dreams, but you can be a blessing to others. In the same way that a parent loves to see their children doing well and excelling, God wants you to do well and excel in every area. He takes pleasure in prospering you. But the key is that you have to make room for it in your thinking. You have to expect that He wants to bless you. Take a step of faith today toward the dreams that are in your heart. Begin to thank Him for His abundance in every area of your life. Declare that because you walk in obedience, God’s blessings are going to chase you down and overtake you! Don’t just settle for a “good enough” mentality, develop an overflow mentality, and you’ll see God’s hand of blessing in every area of your life!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, today I surrender my thoughts to You. Develop in me an overflow mentality and teach me to be a blessing to others. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Messages From Joel Osteen – Confirmation Of God’s Word

Okay, if you read my blog you know that for the past few weeks I haven’t blogged and I haven’t been in my email very much either.  So, today I’ve been catching up and this evening I’ve been going through my daily messages from Joel Osteen.  It’s amazing how so many of his messages spoke to my circumstances and even though I did not read them until now, God was still conveying His message to me through what I’ve read in His word and through other messages of encouragement I’ve been given over the years.  It is written that, “God’s Word will not return to Him void” and this is ever so present and real for me.  Here are a few messages I received over the past few weeks from Joel Osteen Ministries that I want to share with you, may they bless you as they have blessed me.

Observe to Do

Today’s Scripture

“This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Did you know that when you speak the Word of God, it activates power in your life? In fact, this verse says do not let it depart from your mouth. In other words, keep speaking and confessing the Word of God—no matter what your circumstances seem like. When you keep God’s Word in your mind, heart and mouth, it empowers you to obey all the Lord commands. Do you need strength today to overcome temptation? Do you need to be empowered to walk in love? Get the Word of God in your heart and declare what the Word of God says about your situation. Declare that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Declare that you have God’s grace for all things. And notice what this verse says will happen when you are walking in obedience to God’s Word: The key to having abundance and success in every area of your life is found in the Word of God. As you continue to speak the Word of God, you will be empowered in every area of your life, and you will live the life of victory the Lord has in store!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word which gives me strength. Fill me with Your power so that I can obey Your Word. I bless You today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Keep Asking

Today’s Scripture

“For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:8).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Is there something you are believing God for? Does it seem like it’s taking a long time to come to pass? Be encouraged today! The Bible says that through faith and patience you will inherit the promise. You can trust that God’s Word is true. Submit your prayers to the Lord, and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking on the door, and it will be opened to you. It may seem like it’s taking a long time, but know this: God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. He is orchestrating things in your favor. He is perfecting whatever concerns you. Don’t give up! Start thanking God for His faithfulness in your life. As you stay faithful in your prayers and thanksgiving, the Lord will move mightily on your behalf. He’ll take you places that you’ve never dreamed, and you will live the life of victory He has in store for you!

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for giving me a diligent spirit. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Give me strength to stand until I see Your promises fulfilled in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Give Thought to Your Ways

Today’s Scripture

“A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps” (Proverbs 14:15).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Do you consider yourself to be prudent or wise? The Bible says that one of the characteristics of a prudent person is to give thought to their ways. So many people today just act, or re-act, based on their emotions or circumstances. They let the world around them determine how they should feel or what they should do. They believe everything they hear in the news. When the economy is up, they are up. When the economy is down, they are down. Don’t let that be you today! Give thought to your ways. Submit every decision to the Lord in prayer and allow Him to direct you from inside your heart. Don’t believe everything you hear. Let the Lord guide your steps. As you take time to meditate before the Lord and submit your plans to Him, Proverbs says that your ways will be established. You will find supernatural peace that passes understanding, and you will live in success all the days of your life!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness to me. Thank You for guiding and directing my steps. Help me each day to give thought to my ways and follow the good plan You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Be Strong in the Lord

Today’s Scripture

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power” (Ephesians 6:10).

Today’s Word from Joel and Victoria

Everyone has times when they feel weak or discouraged in life. But you don’t have to live that way! You can be strong in the Lord and in His power. You don’t have to walk around defeated and depressed. You can have joy today! In fact, the Bible tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. God’s joy isn’t based on circumstances. It isn’t based on the news, the stock market or the housing economy. God’s joy is based on Him. When you think about what He’s done for you—that He’s given you life, that He’s cast your sins as far as the east is from the west—you can’t help but get happy! You can’t help but have joy inside of you. That supernatural joy on the inside of you is supernatural strength. The enemy can’t take away what God has given you deep on the inside. So put a smile on your face today and rejoice in the Lord no matter what battles you may be facing. The joy of the Lord will give you strength, and you’ll live the life of victory God has promised you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for joy which strengthens! Thank you for empowering me today no matter what I may be facing. Fill my heart with Your supernatural joy so I can stand strong in all things. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
